It is once again upon us. That magical time of year in professional wrestling that every fan looks forward to. Wrestlemania season. It is rapidly closing in on “The Showcase of the Immortals”. This year’s card is shaping up to be one of the larger cards in recent memory. 14 matches have been scheduled so far. a 15th would have rounded out the 33rd anniversary of the Biggest Pro Wrestling PPV attraction if they could have pulled off Shaq vs Big Show. Doesnt look like its happening though. So lets run down what IS in fact happening on Sunday April 2nd in Orlando Florida.

And there you have it. Please remember that “card is subject to change”. However, as of right now, that’s the grand daddy of them all. Of course there’s more than just Sunday. This year we have nearly a straight week of WWE programming. Starting off with the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday night. Followed by NXT Takeover on Saturday, Wrestlemania 33 on Sunday, Raw on Monday, Smackdown Live on Tuesday, and finally NXT on Wednesday. Friday-Wednesday!!! Huge lineup for the biggest part of the year in WWE. Remember there are always huge debuts on Raw following Wrestlemania, and this year is no different. If the rumor mill is accurate, it looks like Kurt Angle will be returning to WWE television. More than likely in a non wrestling capacity as the GM. Taking over for Mick Foley who will be sidelined to have his hip surgery. (side note: I enjoy Russev in the ring, he’ll be missed while he’s out for shoulder surgery). Lastly, I’d like to point out that Hollywood Hulk Hogan will be in Orlando that weekend to open Hogan’s Beach Shop. They’ve (WWE) leaked Hogan’s name and picture here and there recently and it could be the beginning of a mended fence. I think this is careful and wise planning on the part of Hogan. I mean, it is WWE, you want to be available just in case they call. Especially for Wrestlemania! Alright wrestling fans there it is. Wrestlemania! Be sure to check out the Super Friend’s podcast to hear us go into more detail about the matches and make our picks.
